This morning

At the Connect2 cafe I saw a homeless woman walk up to a table an affluent couple had just left. She sat herself down, then drank the leftover tea. It had been a harsh night. As commuters left their buses for the offices of Belfast she looked over at me and said "isn't it wonderful to sit here and enjoy a cup of coffee before we go to work?" There are moments like that happening everywhere here. The kind man at Tower Records who gave me the Adele poster yesterday, the repair man who was working to fix several things with our room, to the man who guided us to our hotel when we arrived. The people of Northern and Southern Ireland have impressed us with their humility and compassion.
