Landed in Belfast
Well, it was an interesting flight. After a spot of dinner at LAX we checked in and waited for around 3hrs for the flight to London. We were on a huge double-decker plane on the upper deck. The person seated behind me was estimated to be almost 7ft, and throughout the flight made his discomfort known by constantly pushing the seat forward. I tried not to recline too far for him. My recent back injury makes sitting completely upright uncomfortable after a while, so it was a bit of a challenge.
We watched "Conclave" starring Ray Feins and a bunch of other big stars, among them Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow. Great film, although, both of the headphone jacks for Stephani and I were dodgy, so we had to ride the input jack to get it to the exact stage of wiggle to make the connection.
By the time we got to Belfast last night we had been awake for over 30 hours, so, it was a quick bite at the hotel restaurant. Stephani had the Sebring and I went for Fish n Chips. It was pretty good, and we were famished.
Went straight to bed. Was awoken 9 hours later by a bright light and the smell of coffee with my beloved leering down at me telling me it was time to get up. We're on our way out now to find breakfast.
The most bombed hotel in europe
We're situated at the nice Maldron Hotel, a boutique-looking establishment with the most unusual shower I have ever encountered. How people avoid third-degree burns is beyond me.
From our window we can see the famous Europa hotel. The most bombed hotel in Europe, at the height of the troubles. All safe now.
OK, sorry this is such a short post, we're hungry. More later.
