Hack! Hack!! I think I just coughed up a lung

Either that, or the second hand smoke is taking a toll on me this trip.   We've been getting better sleep the past few nights, but the Jury's Inn is no comparison to the Strangford Arms Hotel.  We had a restless first night as the two of us tried to share a small queen sized, shall we call it Futon?  In any case we were so whacked the next day, we asked for a room with two beds, and one that is not a football field length from the lift.

We had some marvelous bangers n mash at a nearby pub last night. The thing you notice about pubs in Ireland compared to Orange County, other than the obvious lack of said pubs is the sound level. Pubs here are conducive to conversation, which makes it a very kick back, comfortable ambiance. That tradition of everything closing at 6:00 on the dot remains unchanged, and shortly after 6:00 a couple came in after work. From the conversation, she was the object of his affection, his Guinness sat untouched for almost 20 minutes as he made attempts to hold her hand and say nice things to her, eventually leaning in and kissing her.  Where do you see that type of tender PDA around Orange County?  The music playing on the PA at perfect level served as a magnificent backdrop for the beginning of this love story as Rumer sang "You make me want to sing about love, every time I raise my head, you make me want to tell the whole world, what I've found is good".

Stephani was too tired to eat all of her dinner, or party at the Brazen Head, so we ambled back to the room, where she promptly fell asleep.

This morning we are waiting for our friends, Mark and Jilly from Crawley to arrive. They are flying over for the day, they even have a car hired.  The agenda includes a breakfast, a country drive and afternoon back in the city. Sounds fun. Can't wait.
